With Thanks As Ever To wood s lot

These days
whatever you have to say, leave
the roots on, let them
dangle

And the dirt

Just to make clear
where they come from

Oh! I have been trying to express such a thought as this. Let them dangle.

I've read over this poem here several times throughout the day now, and every time it snags me (a good thing, btw). Thanks for posting it.

with these words, i'd just like to let you know, mr. dark, how much i've enjoyed your thoughts on life this last semester. i have to say as a busy architecture student now, i'm finding less and less time for the things i really enjoy (sleeping, reading, etc.) but i have made it a point to come wondering your way at least every week. i think i speak for many people when i say you are the embodiment of all of our philosophical sides. and we like to have conversations with ourselves sometimes.

love always, kirsten reed
