in case ya'll haven't noticed, 'rants and complaints' is back in action lately. like a church kid coming forward at the altar call for the tenth or twentieth time ("this time i mean it"), here i am breathing new life into this oft-buried vessel... largely in hopes that my increased output will inspire (or shame?) one or the other of you into following suit.
